Hair’s the Story

Hi, I’m Angela, licensed cosmetologist, licensed barber, registered mobile hairstylist and owner of Coast to Coast Cuts. I’ve spent a decade providing cosmetology and barbering services between Atlanta, Georgia and Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

I made Martha’s Vineyard my home in 2014, after being offered a job at Benito’s Hairstyling in Oak Bluffs while visiting the Island on my honeymoon. I took the job, moved up from the South and never looked back.

Fast forward to spring of 2020. As salons were allowed to reopen in Massachusetts, I did not feel comfortable returning to salon life amid the ongoing pandemic. I co-own another local business, Shored Up Digital, that provides digital marketing services; my initial plan was to abandon my hair career and focus solely on that.

I soon realized I’d miss my clients and the connections and creativity that come with “doing hair.” I also recognized that many people would still be reluctant to visit hair salons and barber shops. I had always dreamt of an open-air hair salon, so I combined the obvious and timely need for mobile hairstyling on Martha’s Vineyard, with my love of doing hair and my lifelong vision of outdoor services; Coast to Coast Cuts was born.

With Coast to Coast Cuts my goal is to bring the shop/salon experience to you, safely, conveniently, and ideally outdoors. As a licensed cosmetologist, licensed barber, and registered mobile stylist I provide haircuts and styling services at your home or preferred location. Hair, there and everywhere! Together we can enjoy the beautiful weather, and you can treat yourself to some self care or a new and improved look.
